Medication â€˜Quinaxâ€™ excluded from state registration

Baku. Konul Kamilqizi – APA. Quinax eye drops (Azapentacene Sulfonate Sodium) have been excluded from state registration in Azerbaijan.

The decision was made by the Health Ministry based on a request from Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

The company said Quinax’s concentration decreases over time and this process degrades the medication. For this reason, Alcon Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has decided to halt the production and inform the states where the medication is registered to exclude it from state registration.

Accordingly, Quinax eye drops have been excluded from state registration in Azerbaijan and recalled from retail pharmacies.
