Azerbaijani MP, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan party Siyavush Novruzov has expressed his disapproval of the media coverage of suicide incidents among university entrants and youth on the whole.
“For example, someone commits suicide and this receives extended media coverage. What happens is, others who hear about it may also resort to suicide. In the past, these incidents used to be hidden from the public, but nowadays they are widely covered. I believe we should give it a serious thought,” Novruzov told a round table in the parliament on Wednesday.
