Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The Azerbaijani parliament on Tuesday discussed making amendments to the law on courts and judges, and the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to the amendment made to Article 101 of the law on courts and judges, the Prosecutor General’s presentation on authorization of criminal prosecution will be reviewed in 72 hours after being received. Currently, this term is 10 days.
According to the amendments made to Articles 236.4 and 244.1, law enforcement agencies are authorized to conduct search and seizure operations without witnesses. At the same time, if the process is filmed, law enforcement agencies will still be able to conduct search and seizure operations without witnesses.
The draft amendments were put to the vote and approved.
