Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Azerbaijan is considering banning advertisement of organ transplantation by media outlets, TV channels, etc., which do not specialize in medicine.
In a meeting on Tuesday, the Azerbaijani parliament discussed making an amendment to the law on organ transplantation.
The amendment which is proposed to be made to Article 16 of the law, the transplant of human organs can only be advertised in medical publications as well as during events intended for medical workers and pharmacists.
MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said it still remains a question who can define a specialized medical publication.
The MP suggested that organ transplant not be done between any two persons, not only relatives.
The draft amendment was put to the vote and approved.
