Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. Modern technologies and researches have to be given full independence, said Azerbaijan’s honored professor, former head of the National Research Institute for Cardiology under the Ministry of Health Yevgeny Gelfgat.

 

She made the remarks addressing the round table on “Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Biotechnology and Issues of Personnel Training in Modern Medicine: Innovative and Ethical Problems” held within the framework of the 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum.

 

The round table was organized by the Baku Office of I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University in three sessions titled “The challenges of modern medical science and the problem of medical education”, “Innovative and ethical problems of molecular biology, biophysics, biotechnology in the modern era”, “Problems in expanding international cooperation on topical issues of modern medicine”.

 

Gelfgat outlined that cooperation in the medical area is vital, adding that this way all the people’s health can be improved.

 

“Diagnostics, the role of insurance companies in treatment of diseases and their financial capabilities are important. Adoption of new effective models and individualized medical service rely upon the availability of well-prepared medical professionals and personnel,” he said.

 

Professor of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Arun Banu, Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry Aaron Ciechanover, American professor Madelon Finkel Lubin, Project Director on Global Academic Programs at the University of Texas  Karen V. Francis,  Associate Director on Clinical Operations at PRA Health Sciences Arsen Kubataev addressed reports to the event.
