Baku – APA. As many as 3,478 cases concerning infringement of requirements of administrative legislation by foreigners who failed to observe the rules of temporary and permanent residence in the Republic of Azerbaijan were revealed in August 2016.
The State Migration Service (SMS) told APA that lost documents of 22 foreigners for temporary or permanent residence were replaced with new ones, 255 persons’ residence in the country was legalized. Decisions were made on 2,373 foreigners to leave the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 48 hours and on 828 foreigners to be removed in administrative order from the country.
In total during the month 95,985 applications were received from foreigners and stateless persons by the State Migration Service.
The SMS held 5 public awareness events in various districts of the country and mobile services were rendered to 29 persons.
