Thirty more children from Ukraine arrive in Azerbaijan for rehabilitation -PHOTO

"The work of bringing children affected by the war in Ukraine to Azerbaijan and involving them in rehabilitation services continues," Zaur Ibrahimov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Social Services Agency operating under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, told journalists, APA reports.

He stated that, under the organization of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, another 30 Ukrainian children have been brought to Azerbaijan to receive socio-psychological rehabilitation services: “In the camp located in Baku, national dance lessons and individual consultations with a professional psychologist will be organized for the children. They will also have the opportunity to get acquainted with and spend an interesting time at Icherisheher, the Maiden Tower, and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the seaside boulevard, the Ateshgah temple, and the Yanardag monument.

In the coming days, they are expected to participate in a number of group therapies, meditation and yoga sessions, as well as psycho-social trainings, introductions to the national cuisine, and other master classes in Baku and our regions. Camp participants will also be introduced to the historical and sightseeing sites of the cities of Gabala and Shaki.”

According to him, within the framework of the 10-day social rehabilitation program, support will be provided for stabilizing the children’s emotional state as well as ensuring their integration into society.

Note that, during the previous period, more than 260 Ukrainian children have been brought to the country and provided with socio-psychological rehabilitation services.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, Yuriy Husyev, stated that the humanitarian program implemented amid the ongoing war in Ukraine holds great importance for the country and especially for Ukrainian children:

“This program is very important for Ukraine and Ukrainian children. We are deeply grateful to the President of Azerbaijan, the government, and all the people of Azerbaijan for their support to Ukraine during this terrible war,” the ambassador emphasized.

Yuriy Husyev added that Ukrainian children will spend peaceful days in Azerbaijan:

“They will remember this support and assistance from the Azerbaijani people for the rest of their lives. Thank you very much for that,” the diplomat said.
