Within the framework of the readmission agreements signed and in force by the Republic of Azerbaijan, 44 people were readmitted to the country during April this year, the State Migration Service said in response to APA's inquiry.
It was noted that those individuals were readmitted from European countries.
It was also noted that during April this year, 6,680 applications were received for obtaining (extending) temporary residence permits, while 542 applications were submitted for obtaining (extending) permanent residence permits.
“In addition, during the relevant period, 1,025 applications were received for obtaining and extending work permits for foreigners and stateless persons to engage in paid labor activity in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Also, during April 2026, 23,316 applications were received for the registration of foreigners and stateless persons at their place of stay in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should also be noted that during the relevant period, the State Migration Service adopted 1,746 administrative decisions related to violations of migration legislation,” the information said.
