President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić hinted at a possible resignation during a visit to China, reports Vreme.
Speaking to journalists in Beijing, Vučić said that his presidential mandate is coming to an end and suggested he might step down early.
"Maybe I will resign soon," he said.
At the same time, he emphasised that he would not take the step that former president Boris Tadić once took — Tadić resigned in 2012, ten months before the end of his term, so that combined presidential and parliamentary elections would strengthen his party's position.
