To facilitate citizens’ travel opportunities and strengthen ties between countries, the visa requirement has been abolished for holders of ordinary passports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain to enter the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan from February 15, 2026, to February 15, 2027, the State Migration Service told APA.
It was stated that during the period in which the new rules are in force, citizens of the aforementioned countries may enter Azerbaijan visa-free up to three times and stay for up to 30 days on each visit. Citizens of the listed countries who intend to come to the country for purposes other than tourism or to stay here for a long time may come to Azerbaijan after obtaining the appropriate visa in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.
Additionally, third-country nationals holding temporary or permanent residence permits with a validity of at least six months, issued by the relevant authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar, have been granted the opportunity to obtain a single-entry 30-day tourist visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan within the relevant period.
It should be recalled that foreigners temporarily staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days are required to register at their place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code. Furthermore, if the grounds stipulated by legislation exist, foreigners must apply to the State Migration Service—either in person through the “migration services” service window operating at ASAN Service centers or electronically via the “E-services” section of the Service’s official website—before the expiration of their permitted period of stay in order to extend this period or obtain a temporary residence permit.
