Restoration and major renovation work is continuing in stages in the villages of Guneykhirman and Guzeykhirman in Khojavand district as part of the Great Return Program to the liberated territories, said Tarana Guliyeva, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service for the Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
According to her, there are a total of 549 private houses in Guneykhirman village, of which 379 are suitable for habitation. Currently, 50 houses have been fully completed, while another 197 houses are planned to be commissioned this year. The first relocation to the village took place on July 8, when 72 people from 18 families returned to their native village after many years and received the keys to their homes.
Tarana Guliyeva said there are a total of 447 private houses in Guzeykhirman village, of which 274 are suitable for habitation. At present, 100 houses are fully ready for occupancy, and another 244 houses are scheduled to be commissioned this year. During the first relocation on July 8, 87 people from 21 families returned to Guzeykhirman village and began a new life in their native homeland.
On July 11, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the work carried out in the villages of Guzeykhirman and Guneykhirman, inspected the restored private houses, infrastructure and social facilities, and met with residents who had returned to their native homes.
