"China and Azerbaijan are comprehensive strategic partners," Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei said at an event dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, APA reports.
"Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of our two countries, China-Azerbaijan relations have maintained strong development momentum, cooperation across various fields has continued to advance steadily, and serves to improve the well-being of our peoples. Military cooperation is an important component of the bilateral strategic partnership. The Chinese military is ready to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, as well as make new contributions to the development of bilateral cooperation," the ambassador said.
