Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said today he spoke with US President Donald Trump about Kyiv’s access to Patriot missile interceptors and reviving diplomacy during a “good meeting” at the White House, APA reports citing CNN.
“Thank you for everything we do together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and advance peace,” Zelenskyy posted on X following the talks.
In the meeting, the pair discussed licenses for Patriot interceptor production, as well as reigniting diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
“It’s important that the diplomatic process be reinvigorated. Our teams will arrange the details of their further communication,” Zelenskyy said.
The Ukrainian leader also offered his condolences to Trump on the day of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s funeral, while calling him “a true friend of Ukraine.”
