The remains of Shahin Heydar oglu Karimov, a serviceman who was considered missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family in the city of Mingachevir, APA’s local bureau reports.
After a farewell ceremony was held for the martyr, the remains were laid to rest at the Mingachevir Martyrs’ Alley.
Representatives of the public, families of martyrs, war participants, and city residents attended the funeral ceremony.
A volley of gunfire was fired. The Azerbaijani flag draped over the martyr’s coffin was presented to his relatives.
Shahin Heydar oglu Karimov, born in 1972 in Mingachevir, went missing in 1993 during battles in the Murovdag mountain range of the Kalbajar district.
