The remains of martyr Mikayil Aliyev, a serviceman who went missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family, APA reports.
A farewell ceremony for the martyr was held today at his family’s residence.
Following the ceremony, the remains of the martyr were buried in the cemetery of the Zira settlement in the Khazar district.
Honored Artist Rafael Isgandarov told journalists that Mikayil Aliyev was a deeply patriotic person: “I have been friends with his brother since 1987. He was older than us and always treated us with respect. We had been waiting for news for 33 years. Thankfully, he has been found. May God rest his soul.”
Note that Mikayil Aliyev was born in Baku in 1968 and went missing in the city of Khojaly on February 26, 1992.
