The remains of Yolchu Mammadov, a missing martyr of the First Karabakh War, have been buried in Shamkir, APA reports.
The remains were brought today to his native village of Seyfali in the Shamkir district and handed over to his family.
A farewell ceremony was held with the participation of district officials, members of the public, military personnel, local residents, and the martyr’s relatives. After the funeral prayer was performed, Yolchu Mammadov was buried at the Seyfali Martyrs’ Alley.
Note that Yolchu Sari oglu Mammadov was born in 1966 in the village of Seyfali. He volunteered to join the Karabakh battles in 1992 and went missing on June 13 of the same year during fighting near the village of Sirkhavand in the Aghdara district.
