Remains of First Karabakh War martyr Latif Shahhuseynov handed over to his family after 33 years -PHOTO

The remains of martyr Latif Garibali Shahhuseynov, who went missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family, APA reports.

Today, a farewell ceremony was held at the martyr’s family residence in the 42nd neighborhood of Sumgayit city.

Following the ceremony, the remains of the martyr were laid to rest at the Sumgayit Martyrs’ Alley.

Note that Latif Shahhuseynov was born in 1969 in Sumgayit city.

After completing the 8th grade at Secondary School No. 29, he continued his education at Vocational School No. 41.

In 1987, he was drafted for military service in Volgograd, Russia. After completing his service, he returned to his homeland. In June 1992, he joined the ranks of the National Army.

That same year, he went missing during the battles in the Khojavend direction.

It was later discovered that Latif Shahhuseynov had been buried as an unidentified soldier in the cemetery of Daghli village in the Zagatala district.
