A farewell ceremony was held for martyr Jamil Nizami Rahimov, who was considered missing during the First Karabakh War and whose remains were found 33 years later, APA’s Mil-Mugan bureau reports.
Jamil Rahimov’s remains were handed over to his family. Today, a farewell ceremony was held at the home where the martyr lived.
After the farewell ceremony, the remains of the martyr were laid to rest at the Shirvan Martyrs’ Alley. Relatives of the deceased, the city’s public, and representatives of local government bodies attended the funeral.
Note that martyr Jamil Nizami Rahimov was born in 1969 in the village of Jangan, Sabirabad district. He participated in the battles of the First Karabakh War. Jamil Rahimov, who went to the battle voluntarily, was considered missing on May 8, 1992, in the city of Shusha.
