Pensions and salaries to be increased next year

In 2020, it is expected to increase salaries in some fields, APA reports.

According to the budget package of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020, it is expected to increase salaries in some areas while maintaining the priority of social policy in 2020

Socially oriented expenditures of the state budget for 2020 (in accordance with the economic classification of budget expenditures, labor costs, pensions and allowances, medicines, dressing supplies, and material, expenditures of purchase of food products,) are predicted to be AZN 10 373,7 million and this is AZN 2605,8 mln. or 33.5 percent more than the previous year.

In the structure of state budget expenditures, the proportion of social expenditures will be 38.5 percent, which is 7.7 percentage points more than in 2019.

Note that draft laws included in the state budget package for 2020 will be discussed in plenary meetings of Milli Majlis to be held on November 12, 13 and 14.
