Iran may strike US military bases and other facilities in Europe if US President Donald Trump launches new military operations against the country, APA reports, citing The Times newspaper.
Potential targets include US military facilities in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, and Portugal.
Iranian officials have also stated that underwater internet cables could be targeted.
Western security officials believe that Iranian missiles may not be able to reach many military bases in Europe. However, Tehran could use armed groups and criminal networks linked to it to carry out attacks, as well as resort to cyberattacks and terrorist operations.
US and Israeli diplomats, military facilities, and Jewish community centers are also listed among potential targets.
According to the report, the US and Israel are preparing for possible new attacks. Washington is strengthening missile defense systems in the region and deploying a third aircraft carrier to the Middle East.
Qatar, Türkiye, and Pakistan are continuing diplomatic efforts to restore the ceasefire agreement reached in June.
Tehran, meanwhile, says the outcome of the negotiations depends on the US accepting Iran's conditions, including the lifting of sanctions.
