Poland's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Krzysztof Szczerski, has requested the early termination of his term of office, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maciej Wewiór said, APA reports.
The Polish Foreign Minister has granted Krzysztof Szczerski's request.
His mission will end this month.
Note that the crisis surrounding the leadership of Poland's Constitutional Tribunal escalated into a confrontation on October 30. Following the suspension of the powers of the Tribunal's President, Bogdan Święczkowski, protests were held outside the building.
President Karol Nawrocki described the developments as a forcible takeover of a constitutional institution and called for urgent political consultations.
