Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman Al Saud says he and his US counterpart, Pete Hegseth, discussed efforts to de-escalate regional tensions in a phone call, Al Jazeera reports.
“I reviewed the prospects for strategic defence cooperation between our two friendly nations. We also discussed regional and international developments, foremost among them were efforts to de-escalate and contain tensions in the region,” the Saudi minister said in a social media post.
The defence chiefs also discussed Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
