One-time financial assistance has been paid to participants of World War II and other persons specified in the order signed by President Ilham Aliyev on April 24, 2026, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population told APA.
In accordance with the order, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population paid each participant of World War II a one-time financial assistance of 2,750 manats on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Victory over German fascism in World War II.
One-time financial assistance of 1,500 manats was also paid to widows of soldiers who died during or after World War II, persons awarded orders and medals for dedicated labor in the rear during that period, employees of special units who carried out tasks in the interests of the army and navy within the rear boundaries of combat fronts or operational zones of fighting fleets during World War II, persons awarded medals and badges for the defense of Leningrad during World War II, as well as participants in the siege of Leningrad.
The order covered nearly 2,000 people in total, including 13 participants of World War II, and the one-time financial assistance was transferred to their bank accounts.
