Officials who continue labor relations with or employ a person diagnosed as a narcological patient in professions and positions for which employment restrictions are envisaged for narcological patients, based on a medical examination (medical check-up) opinion, will be fined 3,000 manats, APA reports.

This was reflected in the proposed new Article 192.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which was discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.

According to the proposed new Article 192.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, officials will be fined 1,000 manats for employing a worker in a relevant profession or position without a medical certificate regarding the employee’s health in cases stipulated by the Labor Code, as well as without a medical examination (medical check-up) opinion when hiring for professions and positions for which employment restrictions are envisaged for narcological patients.

Following the discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
