“Number of Azerbaijani population has increased 1 084 500 or by 12.1% in Azerbaijan in the last 10 years- from 2019 up to date”, Chairman of the State Statistics Committee Tahir Budagov said in press conference dedicated to next census of Azerbaijani population, held on October 1-10 in Azerbaijan, in the Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party, APA reports.
According to him, an increase has been observed in the number of marriages: “11.4% increase has occurred in the number of marriages in the last 15 years. Life expectancy rose from age of 73,4 to 75,8. Life expectancy has risen from age of 70,8 to 73,3 for men, while from 76,1 to 78,2 for women as well."
