"The tendency of the rapid warming of the climate also shows itself in our country. The risks related to the weather-climate processes are increasing”, said the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev at a press conference held at the headquarters of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), APA reports.
Mr. Minister noted that the average temperature of the weather in Azerbaijan has risen 1.40 degrees during 1991-2017 according to the researches: “The amount of atmospheric precipitation in Azerbaijan has fallen by an average of 14% according to the comparative analysis conducted over the two periods - 1961-1990 and 1991-2017. Prevention of these processes is not possible, but international experience shows that it is possible to mitigate their consequences comparatively by giving an advance notice”.
