Missing First Karabakh War martyr Javanshir Hasanov laid to rest in Balakan after 34 years -PHOTO

The remains of Javanshir Hasanov, a missing martyr of the First Karabakh War, have been laid to rest in his native land 34 years later,  APA’s Northwest bureau reports.

The remains of missing martyr Javanshir Israfil oglu Hasanov were brought today to his native village of Hanifa in the Balakan district and handed over to his family. A farewell ceremony was then held with the participation of district officials, members of the public, military personnel, local residents, and the martyr’s relatives. After the funeral prayer was performed, the remains of Javanshir Hasanov were buried in the Martyrs’ Alley in the city of Balakan.

Javanshir Israfil oglu Hasanov was born in 1967 in the village of Hanifa, Balakan district. In June 1992, he voluntarily joined the Karabakh battles. On June 12 of the same year, he went missing during fighting in the village of Sirkhavand in the Aghdara district.

Three months after he went missing, his child was born, and his son was named after him.
