A minimum hourly wage may be introduced in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This is reflected in the General Collective Agreement for 2026–2028 signed between the Cabinet of Ministers, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Under the agreement, the parties undertook obligations to continue efforts toward gradually increasing the minimum wage and aligning the ratio of the minimum wage to the average wage in the country with the requirements of the European Social Charter, as well as to achieve approval of amendments to the legislation related to the introduction of a minimum hourly wage.
