Contacts between Moscow and Washington have intensified amid Kyiv’s threats and Russia’s warning about a possible response, which resulted in a ceasefire agreement, said Russian Presidential Aide for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov, APA’s Moscow bureau reports
He also noted that most world capitals reacted with understanding to Moscow’s warnings in response to Kyiv’s threats.
Ushakov stressed that no strike was carried out on Red Square.
“Of course, no massive retaliatory missile strike was launched against Kyiv either,” he said.
It should be noted that yesterday, at the initiative of U.S. President Donald Trump, an agreement was reached between Russia and Ukraine to extend the ceasefire until May 11 and exchange prisoners in a “1,000 for 1,000” format.
