Secretary-General of the International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO), Arguj Kalantarli, met with Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi on February 1, the ICDO told APA.
It was reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of cooperation between the ICDO and the GCC and prospects for its development, and emphasized the importance of joint initiatives and coordinated activities with member states. In particular, it was noted that all GCC member countries are also full members of the ICDO, and on this basis, special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects, the execution of capacity-building programs, as well as the organization of professional development and training activities within the framework of cooperation with relevant institutions.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest, including the ICDO’s humanitarian activities and projects carried out within the organization’s humanitarian mandate.
The parties agreed that cooperation would continue successfully and be further expanded in the future, and expressed confidence that the existing partnership would develop in a positive and mutually beneficial direction.
