Since the beginning of the year, the country’s population has increased by 4,276 people, or 0.04%, reaching 10,266,627 as of March 1, 2026, APA reports.
This was reflected in a publication by the State Statistical Committee covering macroeconomic indicators of the country’s economic and social development for January–December.
It was reported that 54.3% of the population lives in urban areas, while 45.7% resides in rural areas; 49.8% are men and 50.2% are women.
