Azerbaijani Minister: Initiating revitalization in the liberated territories is among main goals

“Social and employment institutions – one of main directions of human rights. Azerbaijan has made the social policy as its main line in this direction”, said Sahil Babayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection, at the Baku International Conference dedicated to 20th anniversary of the Azerbaijani’s Ombudsman Office, APA reports.

Minister noted that Azerbaijan implemented 3 social reform packages in last three years: “These packages covered more than 4 million of citizens and AZN 6 milliard was paid for them. Today Azerbaijan is one of the states that embody dynamic growth with both social and employment indexes. The restoration of the liberated lands, their integration to the country and region economically are one of the main directions ahead.”

Mr. Babayev stressed that return of IDPs to liberated territories and start of the restoration work in there are one of the main targets: "Azerbaijan successfully implements these works. Our citizens have already resettled in Aghali village. “Smart DOST”, ASAN service centers serve publicly to our citizens. These works are done for the people who will return Shusha and with the help of regional services in Aghdam, Tartar and other areas will be provided with the services.

Our main duty will be defending the rights of our people residing in those lands in order to our citizens develop those areas. It is a big call to ensure residents’ social, employment and other rights.”
