The country's population increased by 7,987 people, or 0.1%, since the beginning of the year and reached 10,270,338 as of May 1, 2026, APA reports.
This was reflected in a publication by the State Statistical Committee containing macroeconomic indicators of the country's economic and social development for January-May.
It was reported that 54.3% of the country's population lives in urban areas, 45.7% in rural areas, while 49.8% are men and 50.2% are women.
