Cases are being defined in which tuition fees for socially vulnerable individuals studying on a paid basis will be covered by the state budget, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment proposed to the Law “On Education,” which was put up for discussion at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
Under the current Law “On Education,” tuition fees for socially vulnerable individuals studying on a paid basis at educational institutions are paid from the state budget.
Under the proposed changes, state budget funding of tuition fees will apply only to socially vulnerable individuals studying on a paid basis at educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this case, additional education will be excluded. In other words, tuition fees for socially vulnerable individuals enrolled in additional education programs will not be covered by the state budget.
