It has been clarified how annual leave will be regulated if Eid al-Adha and Ramadan holidays coincide with other holidays, APA reports.
This is reflected in amendments to the Labor Code approved by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
Public holidays that are not considered working days and that fall during the period of annual leave will not be included in the calendar days of leave and will not be paid.
Under the amendments, nationwide days of mourning and voting days that coincide with the annual leave period will also not be counted as leave days and will not be paid; however, the duration of the leave will be extended by the number of such days. In cases where Eid al-Adha and Ramazan holidays coincide with other non-working public holidays and fall within the annual leave period, the coinciding days will be counted as one day.
It is noted that next year, Nowruz and Ramadan holidays will coincide.
