The Jabrayil District Central Hospital complex is being built on an area of 4.6 hectares and is being implemented as a pilot project in the territories liberated from occupation, said Jabir Muradov, head of department at the Directorate of Institutions Under Construction of the Ministry of Health, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Jabir Muradov noted that, in addition to the main hospital building, the 150-bed complex consists of several specialized buildings. These include departments where infectious disease, hemodialysis and other medical services will be provided.
According to him, separate buildings are also being constructed in the same area for the Hygiene and Epidemiology Center, the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Union, as well as the Emergency Medical Aid Station.
The department head said that the foundation of the hospital was laid by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in 2021, while construction work began in 2024. The complex is planned to be fully completed by the end of 2027 and commissioned in 2028.
The polyclinic building consists of four floors, and it is planned to place the functional and radiology diagnostics departments on the first floor of Block A of the main building. It is envisaged to gradually prepare those departments for outpatient services by the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.
Jabir Muradov added that 55 percent of the overall construction work has been completed. The hospital will be equipped with modern medical equipment, including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and digital X-ray devices. The institution will include admission and emergency care, surgery, pediatrics, therapy, intensive care, medical rehabilitation and physiotherapy departments, and will provide the population with high-level medical services.
