Restoration and conservation works carried out in the area of the Momine Khatun Mausoleum located in Nakhchivan city at the expense of funds allocated in accordance with the relevant order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan are continuing, APA reports.
Metal structures are currently being installed around the mausoleum. For the implementation of these works, the head of the Austrian company “Tralsmauer Gerüstbau Gmbh,” Mustafa Erdogan, and the company’s specialists have arrived in Nakhchivan.
It was reported that, in general, a contract was signed with the Austrian company “Atelier Erich Pummer GmbH” for the implementation of restoration and conservation works, and last year the company’s specialists came to Nakhchivan and began establishing the initial infrastructure in the area. At the initial stage, fencing works were carried out in the area, communication lines were laid, and technical studies were conducted to investigate the problems caused by groundwater.
Note that in 2026, 9 million 566 thousand manats were allocated from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to continue restoration and conservation works at the Momine Khatun Mausoleum.
The restoration and conservation of the monument is one of the largest and most significant projects implemented within the framework of the Year of Urban Planning and Architecture declared in our country.
