A media tour has been organized to the Khojavend district, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Media representatives first visited the village of Khojavend in the Khojavend district. Fidan Mammadli, an employee of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service for Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, provided information about the restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the village. She noted that the Khojavend village of the Khojavend district was liberated from occupation in September 2023 as a result of anti-terror measures conducted by our Armed Forces.
There are a total of 278 private houses in the village. Of these, 128 are uninhabitable, while 150 are partially habitable. Twenty of the partially habitable houses have already been repaired, and repair work will be carried out in another 130 houses this year.
In February of this year, 20 families — 94 people — returned to Khojavend village. From March to December of the current year, an additional 130 families — 533 people — are planned to return to the village.
During the past period, several socially oriented works have been carried out in the village. Thus, a 5-kilometer main gas pipeline has been laid, and 1,500 meters of the existing line have been restored. In addition, 2,100 meters of existing 0.4 kV power lines and two transformer substations have been restored. Intra-village roads have been asphalted, and pedestrian paths have been constructed. Work in this direction is currently ongoing.
Note that President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Arzu Aliyeva got acquainted with the work carried out in the Khojavend village of the Khojavend district on February 25.
