"Armenians planted mines cemeteries, water channels, around the springs, gardens, and sown areas," Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) Vugar Suleymanov said in panel discussions at Baku International Conference of Ombudspersons and National Human Rights Institutions on "Role of Ombudspersons and National Human Rights Institutions in the fields of business and human rights" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Ombudsman Apparatus, APA reports.
According to him, besides that, railways, and roads passing through under the power lines have been mined: "These are mines namely aimed at killing civilians. Since I Karabakh war so far 3342 people became victims of mine explosions. 357 of them are children, and 38 are women. In 131 cases, explosions of cluster weapons prohibited by the international convention took place".
