Azerbaijani Health Minister Ogtay Shiraliyev has signed an order “On the strengthening of preventive measures against the new 2019-nCoV coronavirus”, the press service of Ministry told APA.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a new coronavirus, designated 2019-nCoV, was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei province, China, after people developed pneumonia without a clear cause in December 2019 and registration of the disease caused by it started.
In January 2020, the outbreak of this disease in China and currently, the incidence of the disease continue to occur in Thailand, South Korea, Japan, and several other countries.
The Order has been signed in order to strengthen preventive measures against new coronavirus in the Republic.
In the document, relevant instructions were noted for strengthening issues of implementation of requirements of the sanitary-hygienic, anti-epidemic regimes and realization of disinfection measures, allocation of special wards for hospitalization of the patients, especially, children and elder people, who are doubted to be affected with severe respiratory virus, and provision of their equipment.
Also, if necessary, the application of restrictive regime at medical institutions, the provision of the use of personal protective appliances (PPA, masks) by medical personnel, the creation of a reserve of medical preparations, disinfecting substances, as well as personal protective appliances for medical personnel have been reflected in the order.
At the same time, in order to prevent the cases of bringing the disease into the country the provision of joint activity of specialists of the State Customs Committee and the Ministry of Health in implementation of medical examination of the people arriving from the countries where the disease cases have been recorded has also been reflected in the order.
