Armenia plans to begin designing power transmission lines, highways, and railways in Syunik (Zangezur) province as part of the TRIPP project, Armenian media and Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said, APA reports.

He said that an agreement on the next stage of border delimitation had not yet been reached, but discussions would be held soon and work would continue.

"We have not yet reached an agreement on the next stage of work and its schedule. But I think we will discuss, agree, and continue soon," Grigoryan noted.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the possibility of carrying out delimitation work in areas related to the TRIPP project ahead of schedule.

He stated that Armenia intends to begin design work on three infrastructure projects without waiting for the establishment of the TRIPP company and subsequently hand over the completed designs to the company.

"At present, without waiting for the formation of TRIPP, we want to begin design work on three infrastructure facilities — an interstate highway, power transmission lines, and a railway — with the aim of handing them over to the company in the future. All three infrastructure facilities must be built in Syunik," he stated.

According to Grigoryan, possible schemes and optimal options are currently being considered.
