In 2025, 64 stateless persons were granted citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the relevant Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This was reflected in the “Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025,” which was discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
It was noted that 21 of them were stateless persons, while 43 were persons of unknown citizenship.
It was also noted that in order to facilitate the adaptation of foreigners and stateless persons living in Azerbaijan to local conditions, 2,015 applications were registered during the reporting period for courses organized by the Service’s training center to study the Azerbaijani language, history, culture, and migration legislation.
