Necessary and urgent measures are being taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations to prevent and extinguish the spread of forest fires in the mountainous area near the village of Solguca in the Gabala region, the MES told APA.
According to the information, shrub and partially trees burn in the area.
Noted that relevant forces of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Civil Defense Troops, and the North-West Regional Center, as well as 2 helicopters of the Aviation Detachment, continue operations to extinguish the fire. Employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and a group of local residents are also involved in the firefighting.
Despite the complexity of the relief and difficult operational conditions, accompanied by the ever-increasing windy weather conditions, the firefighting measures are being continued uninterrupted.
