Ban on Turkish citizens’ admission to the Nakhchivan State University could be lifted

Nakhchivan. C. Gurbanoglu –APA. Turkish High Education Council could lift a ban on the Turkish citizens’ admission to the Nakhchivan State University. Vice Chairman of the Turkish High Education Council Professor-Doctor Izzet Ozgenc discussed this issue during his visit to the Nakhchivan University, chief of the University’s press service Mehriban Sultan told APA local bureau. The Turkish delegation headed by Ozgenc met with the Turkish students studied in the 3rd and 4th courses and became familiar with the academic opportunities of the University.
Ozgenc said he visited Nakhchivan to learn reasons of the ban on admission to the University and noted that if there is no serious obstacle for the Turkish citizens to study at the Nakhchivan University, they will restore the admission process.
The Turkish delegation met with the chairman of the Nakhchivan Supreme Majlis (parliament) Vasif Talibov. Turkish students’ entrance to the NSU Student Selection Catalogue, mutual recognition of diplomas and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
Turkish High Education Council banned the Turkish citizens’ admission to Nakhchivan State University in 2006 for the differences in the education system and conditions.
