104 Azerbaijani woman captives and prisoners of war killed in â€œextermination campsâ€ in Armenia and occupied Nagorno Karabakh

The appeal says that women, who fought for their human rights in the 19th century and achieved it, have been celebrating March 8 on the international level.
â€œUnfortunately, in the modern world there are countries that violate the rights of women, the symbol of grace and beauty. We, the Azerbaijani women faced such a danger from Armenia.â€

The authors of the appeal underline that 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories were occupied as a result of the unfair war launched by Armenia in 1988, hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijani women are obliged to lead the life of refugees and IDPs.
â€œAs a result of Armeniaâ€™s aggressive policy 16 little girls, 408 women (152 of them old women) from Azerbaijan are registered as prisoners of war, hostages and missing persons. Thanks to Azerbaijani governmentâ€™s efforts, 452 women (112 of them old women) 65 little girls were released from captivity. All the women released from captivity became ill.â€

The analysis carried out by official bodies show that 104 Azerbaijani woman captives and prisoners of war were killed in â€œextermination campsâ€ in Armenia and the occupied Nagorno Karabakh territory. 106 women were atrociously killed when Armenian military units committed genocide in Azerbaijanâ€™s Khojaly town on the night of February 25-26, 1992.
