ASDP Co-chair Araz Alizadeh told APA he had discussed the issue with the officials of the State Committee for the State Property Administration, who informed that according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers the above-mentioned organizations will be ousted from the building at Ibrahimpasha Dadashov Street, 60 and moved to other buildings. The building will be handed over to the General Prosecutor Anti-Corruption Office. “The building was in poor condition and much money was spent to its repair. We don’t know where we will be moved”, said Alizadeh.

Deputy Chairman of the Justice Party Elkhan Shukurlu also confirmed that their party would be ousted from that address and the State Committee for the State Property Administration offered them a building near Neftchilar subway station.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Anti-Torture Committee Elchin Behbudov told APA they will not leave the building if they are not provided with normal place. “We have a rent contract with the Property Committee until the end of 2009. We repaired that building as well. If they force us to leave the building we will address the international organizations”.

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov said they didn’t receive any official warning about leaving the building, but he heard some reports about it. “The building was given to the Council by the order of the head of state. Therefore we are not planning to change our place. We will discuss the issue if we are provided permanently with more suitable and well-repaired building”.

The four-storey building at Ibrahimpasha Dadashov Street, 60 belonged to Azneftkimyamash Corporation in the past.
