Labour migration quotas to be set in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA. Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population and related bodies prepared the project on â€œRules setting labour migration quotasâ€ and submitted to the government, APA reports. Chief of Migration Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population Rauf Tagiyev said the proposals of international experts had been taking into consideration while preparing the project and noted that it would be applied in future. Labour migration quotas will be set as from next year and forecast will be made in connection with this. The department chief said there was no mechanism to set quotas in Azerbaijan before.
â€œIt was known what means, information to use while preparing forecasts so that it can be close to reality. The reality is that in accordance with the international documents and national legislation Azerbaijan should create all conditions for every foreigner coming to the internal labour market. Besides, Azerbaijanis should not worry that they lose their job,â€ he said.
