State Veterinary Service to discuss keeping of pigs where African plague was found in Nij village

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA. The ban imposed on keeping pigs in Nij village of Gabala in connection with African plague virus found on January 28 last year will expire early in April. Spokesman for State Veterinary Service under Agriculture Ministry Yolchu Khanveli told APA that 4750 pigs had been killed in Nij village in connection with the disease. It is forbidden to keep pigs in that village. Yolchu Khanveli said the issue would be discussed again early in April.
Quarantine was cancelled in Nij village on March 28 last year. There is no African plague in Azerbaijan now.
