Graduates leaving university without diploma picket opposite Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

Georgia Nizami Mammadzadehâ€“APA. Graduates of stopped Marneuli branch of Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University have held protest action opposite Georgian Science and Education Ministry, APA Georgia bureau reports.
Graduates, who could not gain diplomas wanted former rector Oma Tabusadze to reply them one and for all. The graduates demanded Omar to go to the reception of the rector of TSU together with them. The rector replied the graduates that the branch had not already functioned.
â€œWe have opened Ukraine-Georgia Humanitarian Institute instead of it. The rector of TSU should reply you, not we,â€ rector said.
One of the graduates Agil Mammadov told APA that several graduates appealed to proper bodies to investigate the case in the function of the branch.
â€œWe were said that investigation is not linked with diplomas. We insisted on our diplomas,â€ he said.
Deputy Science and Education Minister Nodar Surguladze received the graduates and listened to them. An official of TSU Education Department was invited to the meeting and demands of the graduates were made clear. Diplomas of the graduates will be debated on March 4 and after putting documents in order, diplomas will be given.
