Proposals of two companies on putting Azerbaijani artificial satellite into orbit approved and submitted to the Government

He noted that contract would be signed between the companies in August-September.
â€œThese contracts will contribute to putting further satellite into orbit. Works on putting second sputnik into orbit are under way,â€ he said. Minister declined to publicize companies because of not signing the contracts. He added that the two companies were from leading countries that have broad experience in this field. Abbasov stated that Turksat also assisted the project. Turkey leased 50th eastern position in orbit to Azerbaijan on proper terms.
Azerbaijani national artificial satellite is expected to put into orbit late in 2009, early in 2010.
